Yvonne Johnson

Yvonne Irene Johnson, 83, of Two Harbors died Sunday, February 23rd at Ecumen Scenic Shores Care Center in Two Harbors.
Yvonne was born to Gilbert and Alphild Nylund in Two Harbors on August 8, 1930. She lived in Two Harbors her entire life. She married Wendell Johnson in 1950 and together they raised three children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell, son Dennis, granddaughter Sara Ruberg, son-in-law Gary Ruberg and her sister Barbara Anderson.
She is survived by her daughters; Wendy Ruberg of Two Harbors, and Cheryl (Rick) Harnden of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada; and grandchildren, Greg (Jen) Ruberg, Stacy (Derek) Johnson, Kurt (Devon) Ruberg, Keith (Katrina) Ruberg, Jesse (Leena) Harnden, Zachary Harnden , Nolan Johnson, and seven great-grandchildren with another on the way.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ecumen Scenic Shores for the wonderful care given to Yvonne while she was a resident there. We would also like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their assistance and allowing her to be pain-free during her last few days.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
