WILLIAM J. AUGER
William J. Auger, 92, Silver Bay, died Monday October 4, 2010 in Bayshore Health Center in Duluth.
He was born October 23, 1917 to William Sr. and Anna (Bower) Auger in Saxon, WI where he graduated from high school and worked on the family farm. He then worked at a cheese factory and on the Great Lakes ore carriers. He married Florence Premo on January 19, 1946, and in 1961 moved to Silver Bay to work at Reserve Mining Company, until retiring. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, especially on Four Mile Lake.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence, a sister and 2 brothers.
He is survived by sons, Perry (Phyllis) Auger of Tigard, OR and Brian (Ana) Auger of Anoka, MN; daughter, Diane Larson of Sheboygan Falls, WI; grandchildren, Kelly, Cody and Jesse and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be held Monday, October 11 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery, Beaver Bay Township.
