WENDELL LLOYD PARKER
Wendell Parker, 56, Finland, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at his home.
He was born July 1, 1953 to Willis and Alta (Raddatz) Parker in Bemidji, Minnesota. He grew up in Finland, and attended schools in Silver Bay, graduating from Kelley High School in 1973. After serving in the U. S. Army, Wendell returned to Finland to raise his family. He was employed by the State of Minnesota at state parks and fisheries. He served on the Finland Volunteer Fire Department and was a mentor at MCC Camps.
Wendell loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and horseman. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Wendell is survived by his wife, Susen; sons, Michael (Amy) of Finland and Jasen (Stacey) of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Katie, Wyatt and Morgan; his parents, Willis and Alta of Duluth; brothers, Alden of Whitehall, Wisc, and Raymond of Silver Bay; sisters, Fran Harkness of Beaver Bay, Caroline Walsh of Two Harbors, Helen LaDuke of Duluth, and Stacey Parker of Duluth; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of Wendell's life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday June 12, 2010 at the home of his son a�" 6746 Park Hill Road in Finland. Arrangements by Cavallin Funeral Home
