Weldon Arne Johnson, 81, lifelong resident of Two Harbors, MN passed away peacefully where he wanted to be - in the home he built, with his family by his side on Sunday, June 23. He was born on July 28, 1931 to Arne P. and Irene D. Johnson. He was a proud member of the close-knit Two Harbors High School Class of 1949.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Waddon (Pee Wee) Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Marion; daughters, Colleen (Larry) Saur and Linda Johnson; son, Mark Weldon (Doreen) Johnson; grandchildren, Chris Saur, Andrew (Angel Sarkela-Saur) Saur, Amy (Patrick) Budion, Melissa Johnson, Amanda Johnson, and Nicholas Weldon Johnson; great-grandchildren, Annika Saur, Jack Budion and Luciana Budion; brother, Lynn C. Johnson; sister-in-law, Avis Johnson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a donation to your favorite charity if so desired.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
