Warren Erickson
January 14, 1918 — February 1, 2013
Warren W. Erickson, 95, Grand Marais, died Friday February 1, 2013 at the Cook County North Shore Care Center.
He was born January 14, 1918 to Martin and Alice (Elquist) Erickson in Cook County and grew up, and attended school on Maple Hill. He farmed on Maple Hill until age 35, when he went to work for Hedstrom Lumber, retiring in 1982 with 26 years of service. After living in Silver Bay, Brainerd, and Two Harbors, he returned to Grand Marais in 1998.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Brandon; and brothers and sisters.
He is survived by wife Gertrude; a son, Brent (Marja Wiinanen) Erickson of Grand Marais; sister Eileen Hall of Tofte and grandchildren a�" Shane, Brandi and Kaj Erickson.
Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Grand Marais. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
