Violet Graden

Vi Graden, 97, of Two Harbors died Monday January 9, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth.
She was born in Two Harbors on March 21, 1919 to Theodore and Augusta (Henrickson) Alstrom.
Vi was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Peacemakers Quilting Group, and the VASA Lodge. She enjoyed baking, sewing, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and square dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; son, Jerry; daughter-in-law, Connie; brothers, Leroy and Raymond Alstrom; sisters, Florence Kessens, Edith Friefeld and Sylvia Peterson.
Vi is survived by her sons, Bruce (Delores) of Superior, WI, Rick (Janis) of Bozeman, MT, and Paul (Kathy Skelton) of Lake Nebagamon, WI; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Diane; and friends, especially those at Ecumen Scenic Shores and Laura Lane.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday April 22, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
