Tony J Lieffring

Tony was born March 31, 1960, to Donald and Marlene (Hill) Lieffring in Frederic, Wisconsin and moved to Two Harbors shortly after.  Growing up he was involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, played trombone in the high school band, and later the Two Harbors City Band.  After graduating from high school in 1978, Tony went to work in the construction industry, starting with Lake Superior Erection as a laborer and later transitioned to a cement finisher with various construction companies.

Tony dabbled with many hobbies: gunsmithing, beekeeping, taxidermy, cribbage, golf, fishing, and curling, where he also worked and made the “best ice in the area”.  In his younger years, he spent summers on the farm with his grandparents. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Don and children, Evelyn and Alex. 

Tony is survived by his wife of 40 years, Liz; a daughter, Anna Lieffring; his mother, Marlene; brothers, Jerry (Leesa) and Dan (Cindy); a sister, Jeanne (Edward) Miller; and many nieces, nephews.
