Thomas K McCormick

To all who knew him or maybe thought they might want to:  Thomas K. McCormick died on March 12, 2024.

Tom was born to Arlo and Kathryn McCormick and raised on a farm in Olin, Iowa, graduated from Iowa State University (BS Agricultural Education and MS Education) and served in the army at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.  He was employed by Iowa State University through his whole adult life.  He loved convertibles, politics and chocolate pie.  He especially loved and was loved by his wife Marcia, his children and grandchildren:  Mark (Sue) - Clarissa, Carson, Isabelle; Denise Stapley (Brad) - Sydney; and Kathryn (Gabe Wilk) - June, Aviva and another daughter to be born this week.  Tom would hope for good lives for all of these folks.

He would like to be remembered as the guy who always tried to do the right thing.  We expect he will be remembered as the guy who planted all the trees, at last count between 9,000 to 10,000.  Tom was humble, honest and would hope you would plant a tree this year in honor of someone you love.  Private family gathering and cremation.
