Thomas A. Kucinski, 66, of Two Harbors, passed away on January 6, 2017 surrounded by family at Solvay Hospice Care Center.
Tom was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 29, 1950 to Anthony and Emily Kucinski.
After graduation from high school, Tom sailed the Great Lakes and later worked as a foreman on the ore docks Two Harbors, Minnesota until he retired in 2010. Tom was passionate about woodworking, biking, music, spending time with his children and volunteering. It brought him great joy to volunteer and he served on many boards including the Lake Superior Maritime Museum, Two Harbors Folk Festival, the United Way and gave tours on the William A. Irvin for many years. He was a lifelong fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Tom will be remembered and forever cherished for his outgoing personality, work ethic and fun-loving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Kucinski; as well as brother, James Kucinski.
Tom is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Sarah (Dan) Rentschler, Joseph Kucinski and Katherine Kucinski; mother, Emily Kucinski; sister, Barb (Allen) Penne; grandchildren, Ethan and Gretchen Rentschler; and nieces and nephews; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 am service on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lake Superior Maritime Museum or The Boy & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee.
