Tammie A. Gowin

Tammie A. Gowin, 56, of Silver Bay, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Essentia Health in Duluth.

Tammie was born February 23, 1968 in Raceland, Louisiana, where she grew up. After meeting Chris Gowin, they were married August 16, 1986, and moved to Chris’ hometown of Silver Bay in 1989.

She enjoyed sewing and jewelry making and other craftwork, and especially enjoyed cooking.

Tammie was preceded in death by her parents. 

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Chris; sons, Joshua Gowin and Johnny Golden; a special daughter, Alise Holden; her mother-in-law, Phyllis Gowin; sisters-in-law, Zinda Schaefer and Mary Homan; a niece, Sara (Cal) Wiebelhaus; a nephew, John (Michelle) Homan; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her best friend, Paula Fredrickson.
