Sylvia Kuchta

Sylvia E. Kuchta, 89, Two Harbors, died Monday, September 19, 2016 in Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born June 4, 1927 in Fairbanks Township (Brimson) where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Two Harbors High School. On June 22, 1946 she married John “Jack” Kuchta and they made their home in Two Harbors since 1950. Sylvia was employed by the Lake Superior School District for many years.
Sylvia was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was active in many groups and served as an usher.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and time with her family.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; a daughter, Patricia Schiff; and a son, Tom Kuchta.
She is survived by a son Michael Kuchta of Two Harbors; grandchildren, Jennifer Kuchta, Christopher Kuchta, Joseph Schiff and Jessica (Philip) Peterson; and a great-granddaughter, Lydia.
Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
