Steven Lee Lutz, 66, of Duluth, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
Steve was born December 25, 1951 to Walter Lewis and Dorothy Louise Lutz. After graduating from high school, Steve enlisted in the Army, with his basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was employed in various occupations including; art director at a t-shirt printing shop, a submarine sandwich shop, a trophy shop, a telemarketing sales representative, and at restaurants.
Steve’s hobbies and interests included, reading, his favorite authors were Stephen King, Clive Barker, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and Robert E. Howard. His favorite contemporary artists were Frank Frazetta and Boris Valigo. He liked the Impressionists. Steve also enjoyed photography, crossword puzzles, dogs, the Roman Empire, dinosaurs, and classic rock and roll.
The family would like to thank the staff at Essential Health St. Mary’s Medical Center 7th Floor SICU.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Kim Allen Lutz.
Steve is survived by his brothers, Walter Kenneth, Kevin Earle, and Kirk Shawn Lutz.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:30 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors.
