Shirley Rodvold

Shirley Rodvold, 94, Two Harbors, died Monday, June 15, 2020 in Waterview Shores.

Shirley was born May 28, 1926 to Casper and Mildred (Kringler) Larson in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident.  A homemaker through the years, Shirley also worked for a time at the IGA store.

She was a dedicated visitor to the Veteran’s Home in Silver Bay for 8 years while her husband was there.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Red” Rodvold; a son, Thomas; son-in-law, Barry Ekstrom; and siblings, Louis Larson, Betty Juth, Ethel Naslund, and Dorothy Mayfield.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ekstrom of Esko; sons, Jeff (Mary) of Duluth, Keith (Donna) of Chicago, and Mark of Elko, Nevada; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held when circumstances allow.
