Shirley Lundquist, 80, Two Harbors, died Sunday December 19, 2010 peacefully at home.
She was born October 2, 1930 to Gilbert and Mabel Dahlberg in Duluth where she grew up and graduated from Central High School. She was married to Roy Lundquist for nine years, and after her divorce attended drafting school. She worked as a kitchen designer for several years, and later worked as an insurance agent and financial planner. She had made her home in Two Harbors since 1991, and spent summers at Boulder Lake near Nevis.
Shirley enjoyed fishing, traveling, and gardening, and playing piano for the Duluth Playhouse musical productions.
She is survived by her companion, Maretta Muxlow; sons, Roy Victor Lundquist of Two Harbors and Daniel (Judy) Lundquist of Grand Rapids; a grandson, Jesse; and brothers, John Peter (Ginny) Dahlberg of O'Fallon, Illinois and David Dahlberg of Edina, and a sister-in-law Gail Dahlberg.
According to Shirley's wishes, no services will be held.
