Scott Yeo

Scott (nee Katerina) Connor Yeo, age 28 years, was born in Novosibirsk, Siberia in the Russian Federation.  Scott was adopted by Charles and Theresa Yeo in 1994 as a toddler, and was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and the Philadelphia area. Scott attended The Calvert School in Baltimore, MD and completed high school at The Merion Mercy Academy in Merion, PA, where he was a music major. Scott was a fun-loving child, an excellent skier, a talented musician and drummer, and excelled in lacrosse, basketball and baseball.

Scott was compassionate, kind and a great friend to many. He cared about our world, the Baltimore Ravens, politics, climate and the LGBTQ community. He loved Holden Beach NC, the lakes of Minnesota, animals, nature, hiking and gardening. He recently started working as a carpenter’s assistant, and he was enjoying the work. One of his great pleasures was playing percussion on Sundays in the choir of All God’s Children Church in Minneapolis.

Scott struggled with mental health issues and alcohol and drug use for many years despite numerous attempts to achieve sobriety. He was much loved by his parents, family members and many friends. His endearing smile, beautiful eyes and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Scott is survived by his parents Theresa (Pluth) and Charles Yeo, his brother William Yeo, grandfather Rudy Pluth, his Aunts Meg Pluth and Frances (Pluth) Mueller, his uncle Brian Mueller, cousins Bennett Mueller, Johanna Mueller, Elizabeth Bay, and Michael LaValle, as well as many great aunts and uncles, second cousins and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Margaret Pluth, his paternal grandparents Presley and Euphemia Yeo, and his uncle Raul LaValle.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Cavallin Funeral Home, with burial following at the Lakeview Cemetery in Two Harbors, Minnesota.
