Ruth Wahlberg

Ruth J. Wahlberg, 94, Two Harbors died Wednesday March 4, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born July 15, 1920 to Julius and Effie (Anderson) Jensen in Two Harbors, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1938. She was employed in the Lake County Welfare Office from 1941-1943 and for the War Price and Rationing Board during World War II. Ruth married Ted Wahlberg on April 15, 1943. She was employed in the Montgomery Ward Catalog Office, for the Lake County Attorney, and the Lake County Social Service Department retiring in 1980.
Ruth was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Arrowhead Poetry Society.
Her parents, her husband, Ted, and a sister, Phyllis Olson preceded her in death.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Pixie (John) Haveri of Two Harbors; grandchildren, John (Shannon) Haveri, Rob (Sara) Haveri, Shelly (Cory) Olson; 8 great-grandchildren Emily, Kristin, and Amanda Haveri; Logan and Madison Haveri; and Lindsey, Chloe, and Lynnea Olson; sister, Virginia (Tom) Anderson; and foreign exchange daughter, Raffaella Baroni Curti and her family.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
