Rosemary Spina

Rosemary Spina, a life-long resident of Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully at the Waterview Shores Care Facility, in Two Harbors, MN, on January 24, 2025.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Olivieri; loving husband, Harmon Spina; brothers, John and Frank Olivieri; sister, Dora Blakemore; and her granddaughter, Ashley Spina.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick Spina and Daniel Spina; daughters-in-law, Kelly Spina and Claudia Kunis; grandsons, Nicholas Spina and Robert Spina; and great-grandchildren, Daniel Kountz and Easton Spina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosemary worked many years at the Star Newspaper in Chicago Heights, IL, where she eventually retired as Business Manager at the paper. She was also part-owner of a retail fashion boutique in Chicago Heights, and worked part-time at Bloom Township.

She traveled extensively, and enjoyed playing golf and bridge as a long-time member of the Chicago Heights Country Club. She was also an avid sports fan, following all the Chicago teams over the years, especially her beloved Cubs.

She was a wonderful Wife, Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother-in-law, and a friend to countless people over her long and full life. She was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed.
