Rosalyne Mattson, 88, of Two Harbors died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Two Harbors.
She was born May 14, 1929 to Clifford and Ethel (Johnson) Hanson in Two Harbors, where she grew up and attended schools. After her marriage to Clarence Mattson on December 18, 1948, they lived in Two Harbors, the Twin Cities from 1968 until 1989, retiring to Silver Bay, and later returned to Two Harbors.
Family and time spent with family meant the most to Rosalyne. But she also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, socializing, and playing cards.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Rosalyne is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence; son, Terrance; and daughter, Kathleen Wittlief.
She is survived by her daughter, Patrice (David) Greuling; grandchildren, Scott and Chris Greuling, Derek and Andrea Wittlief, and Amber Wallner; great-grandson, Triston, and great-grandddaughter, Parker Leigh; son-in-law, David Wittlief; brothers, Clifford "Ted" Hanson and Adrian (Cheryl) Hanson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
