Ronald Baumgartner

Ron Baumgartner, 74, of Two Harbors, died, Friday March 25, 2016 at his home.
He was born May 22,1941 to Laverne and Alice (Briks) Baumgartner in Barnesville, Minnesota and grew up in Rothsay. In 1965 he moved to the North Shore with his family where his father operated the Forest Inn on Scenic North Shore Drive. Ron was employed by Reserve Mining Company in Silver Bay for 18 years and later Louisiana Pacific in Two Harbors until his retirement.
Ron was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed flowers and gardening, 4-wheeling with friends and family, bird watching, and collecting eagles.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; a brother David; and sisters, Bonnie and Patricia.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne; children, Rhonda (David) Viktora, and Ronelle Baumgartner, of Hibbing; a son, Roderick of Two Harbors; grandsons, Andrew, Ethan and Brant; brothers, Duane (Judy), Dean (Teresa), and Randolph (Peggy); sisters Linda Anderson and Debbie (Steve) Chesney; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors.
