Richard “Dick” Lee Rohde, 82, of Two Harbors, MN passed January 19, 2022. Dicks’s passing is an ending to a larger than life, respectfully lived lifetime. Born in Milwaukee, WI, he met and married his wife Jeanette in the Twin Cities area where they resided for many years before ending up in Two Harbors, Mn. He was honorable, trustworthy, and a gentleman through and through. Foremost to be mentioned is his Love at First Sight, Romance Marriage to his beloved wife of nearly 63 years, Jeanette (Jan). Their love for one another will transcend this world forever! Dick effortlessly loved, positively impacted, and transformed the lives of most everyone he met, nearly always hand in hand with his wife at his side. He enjoyed traveling with his family, hunting, automobiles, great food, his pets and most of all - Fun! He served in the Navy, became a successful, respected mechanic and furthermore, together with Jan successfully redefined and prospered for many years in real estate as a team throughout MN. He was a patriarch and mentor to many people, but foremost to his family, especially his grandchildren whom he taught many life lessons including driving, hunting and fishing, etc. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Two Harbors and also enjoyed riding with the Rinkled Riders 4-Wheel Club. He drove a big recognizable red truck during his later years in the Two Harbors and Duluth area while working for AEOA as a valued driver. He will be eternally remembered for his thunderous voice, fun loving personality, and huge presence wherever he went. He was an avid and entertaining story teller. Also, never to be forgotten, his signature, strong and enormous, yet gentle hands. He was truly “The Best” Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend of his time! He will be immensely missed by all.
A special Thank You to the caring Dr’s and staff as well as Hospice staff at Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors and the Dr’s and staff at St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth.
