Richard T. “T-Bone” Anderson, of Two Harbors, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital Hospice, with his family at his side.

 

Richard “T-Bone” lived a full and rich life of 80 years. Born and raised in Two Harbors, after graduating from high school, he served in the U. S. Navy.  Upon his discharge from the Navy, he was a good provider for his family. He worked for Reserve Mining Company for 25 years and worked part-time as a logger. After the closing of the plant, he was a full-time logger and operated T-Bone and Sons Logging. Later he worked as a union millwright which was another passion.

 

After retiring Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting and working on restored vehicles, attending numerous car shows every summer.

 

T-Bone was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Astrid; a brother, Carl, sisters, Helen, Mabel, Karen, and Sharon; a son, Tim; and former wife, Bonnie.

 

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; son, Jamie “Jamo” (Shawn) Anderson; a daughter, Jolene (Paul Simmen) Anderson; grandchildren, Brent (Morgan), Trever, Wyatt, Amanda (Troy), and Clayton (Hailey); great-grandchildren, Baylor, Braulio, Leo, Emma, and Ava; a sister, Donna (Harold) Nichols; and many nieces and nephews.

 

 

A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 PM until 3 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors.
