Ramona Baker (Rafn) Paquette, formerly of Racine, Wisconsin and in later years of Two Harbors, Minnesota went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday May 26, 2011 at her current home at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in Hermantown, MN.
Ramona was born to Raymond and Marie Rafn on October 7, 1930 in Racine, Wisconsin. She loved her family, friends, roller-skate dance competition as a teenager, laughter, her Cadillacs, and her music, in which she played piano, accordion, and trumpet.
Ramona was a Real Estate Broker and Ramona Kaye Realty in Racine and kept her Broker's license until Alzheimer's came into her life twelve years ago. Ramona was employed formerly as an Interior Decorator for Beck's Furniture of Duluth, MN and Porter's Furniture of Racine, Wisconsin. Ramona was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Two Harbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Marie Rafn, infant brother Raymond, and husband John Knezevich.
Ramona is survived by daughter, Terri (George) MacFarlane of Two Harbors; son, Kenton Sharpe of Ogallala, NE; four granddaughters, Crystal Marie (Matthew) Bosshart of Duluth, Roxanne Rae (Kevin) Frederick of Esko, Tiffany Lea (Joshua) McCabe of Minnetonka, MN, and Tanya Serene MacFarlane of Duluth; six great-grandchildren, Eva, Sarah, Davin, and Brooklyn Bosshart, Millie Jean and Austin Frederick, and baby to be McCabe; brother, Gary (Marion) Rafn of Racine, WI; niece, Karen, and nephews, Brian and Wesley.
Many thanks to her family at Golden Oaks, Laura, Teri, Barb, Susie, Lynn, and many more family members who took such great care of Mom, she loved you all!! Our family will never forget what you did for Mom. Thanks to Essentia Hospice Care, Dr. McMahon and Dr. Jennings.
Visitation will be from 9 AM until the 10 AM Service, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, followed by burial in Silver Creek Cemetery.
