Phyllis E. Hurd, 89, of Two Harbors went to be with her Lord on June 3, 2013 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born on December 9, 1923 to Harry A. and Lillian Marie (Fisk) Young in Duluth. Phyllis married Lester Hurd on November 17, 1942 in Duluth. She was a homemaker and shared her baking products, knitting slippers, and dishcloths with everyone.
She lived the last year at Ecumen Scenic Shore in Two Harbors where she was treated like a queen, in fact, she was their 2013 Queen.
Phyllis was a sports nut and enjoyed watching all sports, except basketball. She deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was a member of Living Waters Fellowship for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; and sister, Grace.
Those privileged to share her life included her children, Larry (Jan), Robert, Carole (Richard) Carlson, Judith (Steven) Levine, Richard, James, and Timothy (Jolene); 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Living Waters Fellowship, 505 7th Ave. Two Harbors, MN 55616.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Living Waters Fellowship in Two Harbors.
