Mildred L. “Millie” Oberg, 95, of Duluth, died Sunday, July 10, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Millie was born April 5, 1927 to Arthur and Henrietta (Letts) Peters in Alexander, Iowa, where she grew up and attended school. Attending nursing school in Moline, Illinois, she met Donald Oberg and they married in 1947. They returned to Don’s family farm in rural Duluth, where they raised their family. Millie worked as a nurse for many years at area hospitals, retiring as Director of Nursing at Lake View Memorial Nursing Home in Two Harbors.

Millie was a member of French River Lutheran Church, the Homesteaders, and the Angel Group. She enjoyed reading.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; and a brother, Warren “Bub” Pete” Peters.

She is survived by her children, Martin (Suzette), James (Bonnie), and Sue (Michelle); grandchildren, Kevin (Lisa) Oberg, Michelle (Walter) Moore, Heidi (Troy) Anderson, Heather (Josh) Mayfield, Jason (Christa) Oberg, Justin (Sheena) Oberg, Jared (Ziona Hicks) Oberg; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 AM until the Noon service on Thursday July 28, 2022 at French River Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Palmers. To share your memories or condolences online please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
