Mayme Runnberg

Mayme R. Runnberg, 92, Two Harbors, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in the Sunrise Home with her family at her side.
She was born September 1, 1918 to Victor and Ida (Stenbacka) Grondahl in Isabella, Minnesota, where she grew up. She graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1936 and lived in Isabella until moving to Finland in 1954, and to Two Harbors in 1993. She was employed at the Co-Op Store in Finland for 27 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a brother, Eric Grondahl, a sister, Leila Youngquist, and her daughter-in-law, Marlis Runnberg.
Mayme is survived by her sons, Donald of Silver Bay and Dale (Mary) of Lander, Wyoming; a brother, Viljo Grondahl of Duluth; 4 granddaughters, Randi Bildeaux, Gina Dufault, Lisa Runnberg and Kristy Donohue; and 4 great-grandchildren.
May's family would like to thank the staff of the Sunrise Home and Dr. Allert for their excellent care, and Gary and Lorre Youngquist and family for their regular visits over the last many years.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery, Silver Bay. Along with May's burial her husband Ray and daughter-in-law, Marlis will also be buried. Please look for a schedule in May 2011.
