Mary Lupa

Mary Lupa, 86, of Two Harbors died Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Ecumen Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.

She was born on October 25, 1928 to James Howard and Helen Luna (MacDougald) Estelle in Crossett, Arkansas, where she grew up and attended schools. After attending Arkansas A& M University in Monticello, AR, she married Al Lupa.  She and Al lived in several cities in Wisconsin before moving to Two Harbors, where they later enjoyed retirement on the North Shore.

Mary was a lover of wildlife, having nursed an injured hummingbird back to health, and writing a newspaper article about it. She and Al were active volunteers with the Lake County Humane Society and also enjoyed downhill skiing and their dogs.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Leland Estelle; and sisters, Marie Garrett and Merle Kemp.

She is survived by her husband, Al; a special friend, Ann Thomas; a brother, John (Carolyn) Estelle of Salem, OR; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Friday August 14, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Two Harbors, followed by burial in Silver Creek Cemetery.
