Marion Danielson, 88, of Silver Bay, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Carefree Living with her family at her side.
Marion was born July 19, 1929 to Elton and Edith (Jacobson) Erickson in Duluth where she grew up and attended schools. She moved to Silver Bay in 1958 and in 1976 moved to Palatine, IL where she was employed by Honeywell for many years. Later, Marion lived in Kentucky for several years before returning to Silver Bay in 2014.
Marion was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Sychar Lutheran Church. She was an accomplished bowler and also enjoyed square dancing and in her early years, snowmobiling.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren, Bud, and Robert; daughter, Danette Danielson; and grandson, Jesse Tate.
She is survived by her children, Kerry (Laurette) Danielson of Silver Bay, Doreen Tate of San Diego, CA, and Rick (Bobbi) Danielson of Fairbanks, AK; grandchildren Kerry Jr., Matthew, Aaron, Jennifer, and Jeffrey; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Christopher, and Jason.
Visitation will be held from 11 Am until 12 Noon on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Essentia Hospice and especially Carefree Living for the loving and compassionate care they provided, treating Marion as family.
