MARILYN M. GUALTIERI

Marilyn M. Gualtieri, 84, of Two Harbors, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away in the Minnesota Masonic Home-North Ridge in New Hope on Friday, November 4, 2011.

Marilyn was born March 13, 1927 in Two Harbors, the youngest child of William and Anna (Olson) Larson. She graduated from Two Harbors High School and from Eveleth Junior College studying office administration. She married Daniel Gualtieri in 1950 after he graduated from dental school. Dan and Marilyn served at a mission to the Navajo Indians in Ganado, AZ. They later moved to Miles City, MT and returned to Two Harbors in 1953 to raise their family. After Dan's retirement, they served at a medical/dental mission in Cameroon, West Africa. In 2010, after Dan's death, Marilyn moved to an assisted living apartment in Plymouth to be near her family.

Marilyn was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Two Harbors.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Daniel L. Gualtieri; her parents; and siblings: Caroline Swardstrom, Sylvia Crayne, Geraldine Bark, Dorothy Gray and Melvin Larson.

She is survived by sons David of Seattle, WA and D. Lee (Terri) of Maple Plain, MN; daughter Gina (Scott) Andrus of Plymouth, MN; grandchildren Rebekah, Mitchell, Brian (Jacquie) and Ashley.

The family would like to thank all the people that had cared for Marilyn over the last few years; while at her home, Lake View Memorial Hospital, Cornerstone Assisted Living, North Memorial Medical Center / Hospice Services and MN Masonic Home-North Ridge.

VISITATION: 2 until the 3 p.m. service on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Baptist Church, 508 Seventh St., Two Harbors, MN 55616.
