MARILYN J. BOMAN
Marilyn Boman, 78, of Silver Bay died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
She was born on September 1, 1933 to Merl and Georgeanna (Glode) Kinney in Duluth. She attended schools in Duluth before marrying Richard Boman in 1951. She worked in the home throughout the years, raising two children. She was a longtime resident of Silver Bay, moving there in 1956.
Marilyn enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping with her husband, and was known as an excellent cook.
She was preceded in death by her father Merl in 1977; mother Georgeanna in 2005; husband Richard in 1994; sister Beverly Sonnenburg in 1974; brother James Kinney in 1987; twin sister Marlene Frederick in 1986; infant brother Marvin Kinney in 1938; and an infant sibling in 1942.
Marilyn is survived by son Rick (Bobbi) of Silver Bay; daughter Vicky (Mike) Parks of Silver Bay; grandchildren Shane Parks, Keri Parks, Brandon Boman, Trisha (Zac) Harrison, Shiloh Boman, and Mariah Boman; great-granddaughters Alexa and Emmalee Harrison and Ella Boman; and sisters Barbara Blazejak and Kathy Liberty.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until the 2 PM service on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery in Beaver Bay Township at a later date.
