Margaret Sande 95, of Two Harbors, died Monday July 6, 2015 at Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth.
She was born May 3, 1920 to John and Bertha (Anderson) Carlson in Silver Creek Township. Margaret went to country school in Silver Creek through 8th grade. She then attended Two Harbors High School, graduating in 1938.
She loved golf, weaving rag rugs on her loom, and helping others set up their looms. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making quilts, and counted cross stitch. She also loved making cookies, which she shared with neighbors and friends.
Margaret belonged to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Women of the Moose.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rueben “Chubba” Sande; second husband, Arnold “Sid” Sande; daughter, Peggy Breiner; son, Kenneth Sande; and sisters, Evelyn LeClair and Marie Carlson; and brothers, Freddy, Arnold, Roy, and Johnny Carlson.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Wally Carlson; daughter, Alyce Sande; daughter-in-law, Georgean Sande; sister-in-law, Mabel Sande; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
