Margaret Pluth

Margie Pluth, 82, of Two Harbors, MN passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 in Ecumen Scenic Shores, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on November 11, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York to Margaret (Sweeney) and Patrick Donnellan. She married Rudolph "Rudy" Pluth on April 23, 1950 in Brooklyn and relocated to her husband's native Minnesota in 1951. They eventually made their home in Two Harbors in 1961.

Margie was an avid gardener, and enjoyed fishing, travelling, and time spent with her family and friends. She was most recently employed at Irresistible Ink in Two Harbors. An active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, she was also very committed to her community, participating in Women's Jaycees, the Two Harbors Curling Club, and the American Cancer Society.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, and two infant siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Rudy; three daughters, Meg Pluth of Oakdale, MN, Theresa (Charles) Yeo of Penny Valley, PA, and Frances (Brian) Mueller of St. Charles, MN; three sisters, Patricia Kosten of Belvidere, NJ, Eileen Kelly of New York, NY, and Kathleen (George) Garber of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Morton (Terry) Donnellan of Brooklyn and Gerard (Suzanne) Donnellan of Lexington, MA; four grandchildren, William and Katerina Yeo, Bennett and Johanna Mueller; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM Saturday. September 22, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
