Margaret E. Ness

Margaret E. Ness, 102, Silver Bay, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at CareFree Living, where she had lived for the past four years.

Margaret was born January 5, 1922, in Two Harbors to Roy and Helen (Walt) Edwardson and was a life-long resident of the North Shore. She supported her husband in the operation of a commercial fishing operation from their home and later helped her son in his commercial fishing business in Alaska.

Margaret was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Save Lake Superior Association, and was a founding member of the United Protestant Church in Silver Bay.

She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and watching wildlife.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Ness; a son, Marshall Ness; a daughter, Margie Olson; and a sister, Honey.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley, and Darell; a daughter, Jean; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
