Margaret Lindgren, 97, of Two Harbors died Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Duluth.
She was born on May 10, 1919 to John and Ragnhild (Holbeck) Braa in Virginia, MN. Muggs grew up in Virginia, Duluth, and Two Harbors, graduating from Two Harbors High School. In 1941, she married Donald “Barney” Lindgren and they were married for over 73 years. Muggs was a homemaker throughout the years, raising 3 daughters.
Muggs was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, American Legion, and Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, Bingo, and traveling.
Muggs was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald “Barney” Lindgren in 2014; sisters, Pearl Gade and Dorothy Ostman; and brothers, Oliver “Bud” and Lloyd Braa.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Close of Two Harbors; Diane Lindgren of Carrollton, Texas, and Lorrie (Dave) Houle of Duluth; grandchildren, Scott (Lisa), Valerie (Chad), Dallas (Farah), Mitchell (Amanda), and Addison (Hannah McCabe); great-grandchildren Erika, Ty, Mikaela, and Cameron; great-great-grandson, Kellin; brother, Allen (Corinne) Peterson; and sister-in-law, Sara Braa.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the 2 PM funeral on Monday November 14, 2016 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
