Mairece Butler

Mairece V. Butler passed away Monday February 17, 2020 in Two Harbors Minnesota.

She was born September 8, 1927 in Swartz, Louisiana to Monroe Tullos and Lurana Guion.   The family moved to Fort Bragg, California when she was 16.  She met Ira Butler there and they were married in 1945.  They lived in several areas around Fort Bragg finally settling at a farm on Bald Hill road where they lived and raised their family until moving into town in 2004.  Mairece was employed at Larry Spring TV Repair Shop then managed an ice cream parlor for many years until her retirement.  When Ira died in 2007, she moved to Two Harbors, Minnesota to live with her daughter, Louise.

Mairece was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Bragg and the American Baptist Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ira; and her brother Russell.

Mairece is survived by her children, Susann (Cecil) Gowan, Edwin (Cindy) Butler, Louise Fransen and Russell Butler; 12 grandchildren; 15 Great-grandchildren; and 9 Great-Great-grandchildren.

Services were held on February 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Fort Bragg, CA.  Burial followed at Rose Memorial Park.
