"Maggie" Gunderson

Maggie Gunderson, 67, of Two Harbors died unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2013 at her home.
She was born on March 16, 1946 to Vernard and Myrtle (Halvorson) Nelson in Two Harbors. Maggie grew up in Knife River and graduated from Two Harbors High School. During her working career she held various jobs; most recently she was employed as a certified nurse's aide at Lakeview Cottages, retiring in 2011.
Maggie adored her 3 dogs and spending time in the outdoors, gardening, and reading.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Leonard, Paul, and Dwight Nelson.
She is survived by her daughter; Lana (Lance) Tveiten of Virginia; siblings Gilbert (Janice) of Duluth, Robert of Washington, Carolyn Johnson of Ely, Duane (Nancy) of Duluth, and Don of Two Harbors; special friend Jim Davies; grandsons Curtis and Kyle Tveiten; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at Cavallin Funeral Home. Lunch will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be at 3 PM at Sunrise Cemetery in Hermantown. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
