Lyle Fox, 70, Two Harbors, died Friday, March 22, 2019 at Ecumen Lakeshore in Duluth.
He was born October 18, 1948 to George Scott and Anna Mae (Wobbema) Fox in Grand Rapids where he grew up and attended schools. Lyle proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the Army. Upon his discharge, he was employed for many years in construction, traveling all around the country. Lyle also worked as a lineman, in the oil fields of Texas, and lastly for Louisiana-Pacific until his retirement.
Lyle was a devoted and loving father, grandpa, brother, and friend and could always be counted on. In his free time, Lyle enjoyed fishing, hunting, stock car racing, his motorcycle, trips down to the breakwall, and the Vikings.
He was a member of the VFW and Loyal Order of Moose.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George Jr. and Dennis; and sister, Kathleen Fox.
He is survived by his children, Rena (Tim) Alseth, Jason (Jodi) Aldinger, Lyle (Erica) Fox, and Clinton Fox; grandchildren Amanda, Nathan, Noelle, Rachel, Grace, and Cash; 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jasen; siblings Darrell (Robyn) Fox, Val (Dennis Kaye) Fox, Wanda (Dan) Hahn, Penny (Brian) Miller, and Rhonda (Brad) Miller; Kay Kramer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will begin with Military Honors at 1 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Superior Shores Resort. Coffee and cake will follow until 5 PM.
