Lorraine M. Brassill, 81, Two Harbors, died at Ecumen Scenic Shores (Sunrise Home) on Sunday March 27, 2011, joining her husband on what would have been their wedding anniversary. She was born September 5, 1929 to Joseph and Margaret Cardinal in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident. Lorraine worked alongside her husband on the family farm and was a homemaker through the years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, knitting, and puzzles. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John in 1989, a son Glen; infant twin daughters; grandsons, Craig and Matt; brothers, Joseph and Louis; and a sister Jeanette. She is survived by her children and their spouses, James (Jo) of Stacy, MN, Ken (Debbie) of Two Harbors, Dennis (Betty) of Kempner, TX, Carl of Minneapolis, David of Two Harbors, Linda (Craig) Anderson of Monroe, NC, Joan (Jesse) Hauglid of Circle Pines, MN; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Cardinal of Two Harbors; and a sister Marie Zaebst of Bucyrus, OH. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Wednesday March 30, 2011 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
