Lori Molitor

Lori Molitor, 59, Two Harbors, died Wednesday March 26, 2014 at Ecumen Scenic Shores.
She was born on November 11, 1954 to Richard W. and Joan (Johnson) Johnson in Two Harbors. Lori grew up in Two Harbors and in 1963 moved to Liberia, Africa with her family, where her father worked on the railroad. She returned to Two Harbors for high school, graduating in 1973. Lori married Dan Molitor in 1973 and they were divorced in 1989. In 1993 she graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with a degree in nursing and was employed as a registered nurse in long term care, most recently at Ecumen Scenic Shores.
Lori enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, the TV show NCIS, reading, road trips, and dining out. She belonged to the nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau, Theta Xi, and Kappa Sigma Sigma Honor Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lori is survived by her significant other of 22 years, Randy Mahlberg; children Trista Molitor of Dayton, WA and Shane of Two Harbors; sister, Mary (Len) Turek of Lonsdale, MN; brother, Rick (Becky) Johnson of Port Orchard, WA; 2 grandchildren Tierza and Dimitri; and nieces and nephews.
Lori’s family would especially like to thank the loving staff at Ecumen Scenic Shores for their wonderful care.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the 1 PM funeral service on Saturday March 29, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
