Lois Peterson

Lois Peterson, 84, of Two Harbors died after a brief illness on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by family.
She was born on December 26, 1929 to Einar and Florence (Olson) Anderson in Two Harbors. Lois grew up and attended schools in Two Harbors, where she was a lifelong resident. She married Raymond "Tussa" Peterson on June 19, 1948. Lois was a homemaker throughout the years and also assisted Tussa with the office work as a Mobil Oil distributor.
Time spent with family, especially around the holidays and bowling were among the things she enjoyed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond "Tussa"; brother, Richard Anderson and sister, Marlene Hogenson.
Lois is survived by children, Steven "Prune" (Marilynn), Shay (Bill) Cavallin, Jim "Pete", and Jeff (Libby) all of Two Harbors; grandchildren, Lisa (Richard) Singleton, Bryan (Julie) Peterson, Steph (Adam) Aho, Amy (Mike) McGrath, Chrissy (Scott) Libal, Jennifer (Frank) Herzberg, and Caiden Peterson; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Mabel) Anderson; and a half brother, David Soderstrom.
Private graveside services will be held.
