Lester Nicholson

Lester Nicholson passed away peacefully on April 25, 2014 at Genny ED Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA surrounded by family.
Lester was born in Duluth, MN on May 22, 1936 to John and Jenny Nicholson of Freedenberg, MN.
Lester served 4 years in the USAF and afterwards moved to Two Harbors where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Lester was a very loving man who always had a smile and a friendly hello. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to church, helping friends with different projects, and being a volunteer driver. He also enjoyed spending time at his camper and fishing. Lester was an active member of Living Waters Fellowship and served as an Elder.
He traveled this past winter for 6 months visiting his children in Iowa, Utah and California.
Lester was proceeded in death by his parents John and Jenny Nicholson, late wife Betty Nicholson, 2 Sisters- Dorothy Rich and Alice Anderson.
Lester was survived by his children Cindy Nicholson, Tabor IA, Cheri Honeycutt (Mark), S. San Francisco, CA, Craig Nicholson, Ogden, UT, Phyllis (Elmer) Bruce, Malvern, IA & Mary (Dave) Skoog Mound, MN. Two sisters Carolyn Katzmark, Duluth,MN & Jean (Eugene) Puumala, Duluth, MN. 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, Great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services will be held Thursday May 1, 2014 at the Living Waters Fellowship Church 501 7th Ave Two Harbors MN. Visitation will be held before the service from 10:00am to 11:00 am with funeral service to follow. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
