Larry Levenske, 79, Two Harbors, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
Larry was born September 30, 1935 to Steve and Veronica (Schettek) Levenske in Traverse City, MI. He grew up in Grand Marais and later moved to Two Harbors where he graduated from high school in 1954. On July 13, 1957 Larry married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Holliday in Two Harbors. He worked for the DM&IR railroad, Universal Fiberglass, Husky Hydraulics, and Benna Ford where he worked until his retirement.
Larry enjoyed camping, bowling, golfing, curling, fishing, hunting, and most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother,Bobby; and a grandson, Christopher.
Larry is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Debbie (Brett) Myers of McPherson, KS, Dianne (Roger) Schramm of Two Harbors, and Jean Ann (Craig) Emrey of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, Tyler, Cayden, Travis, and Taylor; brothers, Jerry (Vivian) Levenske of Durand, WI and Stephen (Pat) Levenske of Countryside, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the Two Harbors Curling Club. Lunch will follow. The family encourages casual dress.
