Lawrence Lee Buesgens, 73, Two Harbors, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home.
Larry was born June 16, 1949 in Shakopee, MN to Gerald and Helen (Savage) Buesgens, the second oldest of 13 children. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1967. From there he served in the Marines, doing a tour in Vietnam from 1968-1969. Larry then began his career as a laborer in Colorado, which lead him to work on the pipeline in Alaska. He eventually became a union iron worker out of Los Angeles, Local 433, working mostly in the western part of the country. During this time Larry worked with many locals, including Duluth 516.
Larry married Karen Miller in 1971 and had two daughters, Tracy (Johnson) Buesgens and Joelle Buesgens. He moved to Two Harbors with his family in 1977 and spent his time between California and Two Harbors, retiring from Local 433 in 2006. Larry lived happily on his homestead until his passing
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Geraldine; and brother, Darrell.
He is survived by daughters Tracy and Joelle; 4 grandchildren, Dakota, Teyha, Sofie, and Isabel; 3 great-grandchildren, Ca’Marrion, Kia’Len, and Ky’Aire; 10 siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the farm, 1877 Waldo Rd. Two Harbors.
