LAUREN J. LINDSAY, 62, of Finland died unexpectedly with his family at his side on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at St Luke's Hospital in Duluth from complications stemming from unknown diabetes.
Lauren was born on April 6, 1948 to Thomas Fenton Lindsay and Magaret Mary (Cooley) Dillehay in Rochester, Minnesota. He grew up and attended schools in Finland, Silver Bay, and Rochester. Throughout his life he worked many different jobs. Lauren loved riding his motorcycle and four-wheeler, doing leather work, playing cribbage, and his computer. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grand-daughter, as well as anyone else that would listen and talk to him.
Lauren was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, step-brother Carl Dillehay, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife, Ardith (Plank) of Finland; step-sons, Michael Plank of Finland and John (Christie Johnson) Plank of Hinckley; special angel of his heart grand-daughter Shelby Ann Plank; and step-sister, Lucille Casey of Phoenix, Arizona.
