Lance Peterson

Lance “Lanny”  Peterson, 66, Two Harbors, died Monday, September 28, 2020 in Waterview Shores after suffering from Alzheimers/Dementia.

Lanny was born November 22, 1953 to Carl Arthur and Ardelle (Carlson) Peterson in Two Harbors, where he grew up and attended school.  He enlisted in the Air Force at age 18, serving over 20 years between the Air Force and Army Reserves.  Lanny married Judy Lundgren on May 27, 1972 in Two Harbors.  They moved to Baudette in 1987 where Lanny was employed by the GSA in the maintenance department.  After his retirement, they returned to Two Harbors in 2012.

Lanny was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the American Legion and its Honor Guard.

He enjoyed his work; fixing and fabricating in his garage.

He is survived by his wife of  48 years, Judy; a son, Bill (Shelly) Peterson; grandchildren, Will, Tessa, and Brette Peterson, Mikael and Kaylee Overby; brothers, Larry (Sandy) and Ron (Deb) Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 PM on Friday, October 2 at Lakeview Cemetery.
