Kim Crawford

Kim M. Crawford, 48, of Grand Portage, died from injuries suffered in an atv accident, on Thursday, April 7, 2016 near his home in Grand Portage.
He was born March 12, 1968 to Michael and Wilma Crawford in Nuremberg, Germany. He grew up in Furth, Germany where he attended school. Kim moved to Grand Portage in 2009, where he worked various jobs including the Grand Portage Trading Post and Grand Portage Casino. Kim was a member of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and Sons of Veterans. He enjoyed four wheeling, talking to people, and spending time in the woods.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Crawford of Germany; two sisters, Lorraine (Kurt) Anders, and Sonja Crawford, both of Germany; special niece, Jennifer Wintergerst; two great nieces Lucia and Mila; aunt and uncle Ted and Geraldine Kozlowski, aunt Bernice LeGarde; wife Missy Ranta; step sons, Jimmy and Devin; and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Grand Portage Community Center 11 AM Friday April 15th, 2016.
