June Juenemann, 72, of Two Harbors, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Ecumen Lakeshore in Duluth. She died peacefully after a battle with cancer.
June was born June 4, 1946 to the late Walter and Dorothy (Morris) Anderson in Two Harbors. She is survived by her sisters Kathy and Margaret and her nephews, including Ethan and Spencer Iverson.
June graduated from Two Harbors High School and lived briefly in Orlando, Florida as well as Duluth. She met her late husband Raymond “Bud” Juenemann when he was driving his truck and stopped to flirt with her. The two had a long, happy marriage.
June worked at Harcourt, Brace and Jovanovitch; as a social worker at Lake County Human Services and at the time of her passing for Wherley Moving Systems. Friends will remember her as a kind person with a dry sense of humor who enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, drinking coffee, and hanging with her friends “the fab four.” Her quiet strength made her a wonderful co-guardian for her disabled nephew Spencer and a great comfort to her late niece Marcia during her battle with cancer.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Cara, and her niece Marcia Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Bullyan Center for Udac.
A joint memorial for June and her niece Marcia will be held at Eastridge Community Church 3727 W. Arrowhead Road, Duluth MN 55811 on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11 AM. Lunch will follow.
