Judy Olson, 73, Two Harbors, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Solvay Hospice in Duluth, with her family at her side.
She was born December 4, 1941 to Ellert and Mabel (Elg) Lindahl in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident. After high school in 1959, she attended business college in Minneapolis, returning to Two Harbors in 1960. Judy was employed by Reserve Mining Co. in Silver Bay from 1960 to 1977 and the Lake County Assessor’s Office from 1981 until retiring in 2006.
Judy was a member of First Baptist Church and the Lakeside Chapel at Pequaywan Lake. She enjoyed time at the family cabin and many outdoor activities.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Dave; a son, Kevin (Jessica) of Two Harbors, a daughter, Kimberly Marie Olson of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Alex and Lauren Olson; two brothers, Don (Gloria) Lindahl and Todd Lindahl of Two Harbors; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judy’s family would like to thank St. Luke’s Oncology and 2W staff and Solvay Hospice staff for the exceptional care they gave.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday April 4, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Two Harbors.
