Judith Duhaime

Judy Duhaime, 80, Grand Portage, died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at North Shore Health.

Judy was born April 3, 1938 in Virginia, MN and grew up in Duluth to parents Ray and Esther Wick. She married Albert “Buddy” Duhaime on August 18, 1956 in Grand Marais and they made their home in Duluth for many years, where Judy was a homemaker and mother to their daughter. After Buddy’s retirement, they moved to his hometown of Grand Portage, where Judy worked in housekeeping at the casino and later as a stock clerk at the Trading Post.

She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, time with her family and her dear cats- Mr. Tibbs and Miss Libbs.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert “Buddy” Duhaime; a brother, Lee Sanders; and nephew, Kurtis Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter, Delayne Duhaime; a brother, Dale (Susan) Wick; nieces, Rachel (Kyle) Curtis, Kristin (Cubby) Madigan, Leann Schnell-Martin, Amy (Grant) Chapin, Cindy LeGarde, Loretta (Philip) Nye, Linda (Lance) White, Dawn (Jon) Paquette and Kristie Durst; grandnieces and grandnephews; and many friends.

Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Mt. Rose Community Church in Grand Portage.
