Joseph J. Seeber

Joseph Seeber, 86, of Two Harbors died Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Waterview Shores.

He was born July 28, 1938 to Joseph and Matilda Seeber in Jersey City, New Jersey and attended schools in Lyndhurst, graduating in 1957. Joe joined the Air Force in 1958, serving in San Antonio and Biloxi before being transferred to the Finland Air Base. He met Janet Haveri at the Lake County Fair in September of 1958. He always said he won 1st prize at the fair. Janet was a cheerleader at Two Harbors High School. They married in 1960 and had four beautiful children.

Joe worked with his father-in-law, Doivo Haveri at Hunken Arundel and Dixon and later Reserve Mining until its closure, then at Labounty Mfg until his retirement in 2000.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, agate picker, and shed antler hunter.

Joe was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Eleanor Johnstone; and a brother-in-law, John Haveri.

He is survived by wife, Janet; children, Mike (Penny) Seeber, John (Karrie) Seeber, Jean (Mick) Johnson, and Mary (Tim) Marker; grandchildren, Ashlee, Felicia, Jordan, Michael, Adam, Gabbie, Justine, Stephanie, Brittany, Corey, Kelsey, Joseph, and Samantha; many great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pixie Haveri; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Johnstone.

Private services will be held.
