John M. “Jack” Neylon, 77, Two Harbors, died Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.
Jack was born February 10, 1945 to James and Lois (McCannell) Neylon in Two Harbors, where he was a life-long resident. After high school he served in the U. S. Army National Guard as a track vehicle mechanic, stationed in Colorado. In 1969 he married Rande Svee, and together they operated Neylon Trucking and Excavating for many years, until Jack’s health forced his retirement.
As a young man, Jack was active in theTwo Harbors Jaycees and was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 109. He was an announcer for 4-H horse shows and sports events. Jack enjoyed dirt-track and mud racing, Lake Superior fishing, and most of all time with his grandchildren. Anyone who knew Jack, also knew he was not afraid to speak his mind!
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 50 years, Rande.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Blake) Fjeran of Two Harbors; a son, Jim Neylon of Superior; grandchildren, Sasha, Sarah and Brock Fjeran, and Chloe and John Neylon.
